A 100 year old woman, having witnessed a lot of life, said that the human race only asks itself two questions:
"Do you love me?" and "Who's in charge?" Out of these two questions comes all the suffering, wars and hatred, of self and others, that we experience.
"Do you love me?" includes those painful offshoot questions --
"Will you always love me?" "Why don't you love me, the way I think you're suppose to love me?" And that other one that can destroy our happiness, "How can I get you to love me?"
"Who's in charge?" is about control and includes who owns this land, who decides what religion, rules, beliefs, life choices are the correct ones?
I believe we do ask the above questions way too much, but there are other truer questions that we can and do ask, that feed and nourish ourselves and our planet.
Happiness Sprite Tip:
This week choose to ask yourself different questions and see how your life will transform moment by moment as you change your focus.
When you're unsure of what to do next, ask yourself, "What would Love do?" and get quiet for a little bit and see what your heart, your inner wisdom tells you. This is not the small, ego love that is always wanting to get. This question taps into the natural generosity of our higher selves.
Another question to ask for a different life experience is:
"How can I benefit others in ways where I also receive benefit and experience happiness?" It's really the same question as the first, but it's helpful for those of you that like a bit more information. It's really about true generosity, where we receive at least as much as we give.
This might sound like pretty heavy stuff for Happiness Sprites, but actually as we ask these questions and let them guide our lives, we will feel like our wings are carrying us ever so lightly on a gentle but powerful breeze.
Happy flying,
